So it’s now ‘full steam ahead’ with weddings for 2017, yesterday was the third one of the year and all about Claire & Mark, the new Mr & Mrs Kleisters and it didn’t disappoint.
Set in the beautiful Rivers Suite upstairs at Three Rivers and looking out to a light dusting of snow across the grounds it had all the makings of the perfect winter wedding.
When we had our final consultation meeting about a month ago I had suggested we did something a bit different for the First Dance so without any prior warning and coming as somewhat of a surprise, I called Claire’s mum Mary to the dance floor to dance with her daughter as THE first dance of the evening (Westlife – Flying Without Wings), half way through the dance when there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, I invited Mary (Claire’s mum) to offer the hand of her daughter to her new husband Mark who continued to dance a song that they had chosen (Nathan Sykes – Over & Over) before inviting all their family and friends to join them in this special moment…..something different to the norm and a nice surprise for everyone watching, least of all Mary.
From there it really was non-stop dancing to a playlist that had nearly 8hrs worth of music to cram into 4hrs up until midnight, we really did go on a true musical journey from ABBA to USHER to SKEPTA and onto ELVIS, but I’m happy to say the floor was full all night.
We then reached midnight, it was time to finish on a family favourite (Keane – Somewhere Only We Know) whilst Claire & Mark said their goodbyes on the floor.
I have a feeling there’ll be some tired feet and aching heads this morning.
Congratulations Claire & Mark
